Went to the New York Motorcycle Show Friday

I didn't take pictures but the new Ducati1199 is the most beautiful bike made since MV Agusta came out with the F4. Triumphs new Explorer is interesting and the Speed Triple R totally rocks. I have an 06 Speed Triple with Ohlins and monobloc's and it makes all the difference in the world with this bike.

I've been going to this show for over ten years and I'm stunned at what's happened. Every year the show gets smaller with less and less exhibitors. This year maybe half the manufacturers were there. It's a real testimony to what's happened to the motorcycle industry.....it's almost as bad as the boating industry. Connecticut lost many, if not all, its' Ducati dealers and a bunch of Harley Davidson dealers. I think lots of people are betting that 2012 is the turn around year for bikes.

On a happier note.....go GIANTS!

Heard great things...want to explore Ky. roads this spring.

Hi Kentucky!

New to the site - there's a group of us (11) that want to ride your roads this May/June. Our style is sportbike and a little help with the roads would be greatly appreciated. The group is pretty much split between a love for the tight twisty's and an obsession for Mach 2 sweepers.

We're from Connecticut, know every road in New England worth riding and would be happy to reciprocate if you're interested. Thanks. Uncle B

p.s. Five of us spent last winter in the desert in So. Cal.. Know those roads pretty well too.
