Is the new "hardcore z1000" out yet?

Nope I'm just speculating. Haven't even heard of rumors. It's the only thing that makes sense to me tho.

Having just ridden the FZ and R1 back to back, I would not call the FZ hard core. Didn't even feel like the same engine. That cross plane I4 sounds so good, but it felt very neutered compared to the R1

The Z1000 was never a 1000. It was based on the ZX900r motor. I'm pretty sure the new z900 is the same displacement of the previous Z1000.

IMO. They dropped it to a 9 so that they can make a hard core z1000 based on a zx10 to compete with the fz10, tuono and superduke.
