Thanks, I appreciate honesty, especially when I ask for it. It is tough for any shop, regardless of size, to compete with online tire prices. I honestly have these tires quoted at my cost: $99.99 for the front, $159.99 for the rear and $15.60 sales tax. That leaves $50.42 for tire disposal, mounting, balancing, valve stems not to mention probable credit card fees. That's why I'm fine with anyone buying their tires online and bringing them in to be mounted/balanced. I'm happy to get the labor, I don't need to sale the tires, especially when I just pass along my cost. And I also want to thank you for the referral to SportbikeTrackGear. I've never heard of them, but I'll definitely be checking it out.
Thanks again,
Tony

Note: I just checked their price and it's $239.95 for the set of Q2's. But it's still cheaper than my costs. Thanks again.

I will use Clutch's request for a set of Dunlop Sportmax Q2's (120/70/17 and 190/55/17) as an example....

You can purchase a set of these tires in this size from SportbikeTrackGear for about $220 with free shipping. And I know of a very reputable motorcycle shop in Lexington that would mount and balance them for right around $50, give or take a few bucks depending upon whether you just bring in your wheels and tires or the bike itself. I guess it all depends on how much you are getting your tires for but the price seems a little bit steep compared to some of the other local shops. Not trying to be an ass, simply just giving you feedback on your question.

Anyone want to tell me how my price compares to others?
I hope to have larger volume next year for better prices.
Thanks,
Tony

Sorry, I just seen your post.If you bring in your rims, current pricing is $336 out the door. That's mounted & balanced. Taxes & tire disposal included.
It's best to call or email me at the shop.

Welcome!

Bikes and Guns!! Doesn't get much better than that!

Are you going to Knob Creek this weekend?

I've never been but I hear it's a can't miss show. I hope to one of these days.

Glad you're here! Can we put you down for one more vote for a DOT-SNELL tattoo for the back of Clutch's head?

Majority rules? What's the vote?
