By nimble, I mean on my ninja I don't speed around corner and what not. I would say its because I am a big guy, and I am slightly uneasy when shifting my weight too much. But I think the more ridin I do the more I'll learn, and the better rider I'll become. I may keep this EX500 for a long while, and buy a nice cruiser or bobber or something along those lines. But who knows what I'll be thinking a year from now when purchasing something else.
As for the before mentioned bikes. I have a 1983 Suzuki GS650L has an electrical problem somewhere, I am heavily toying with the idea of tearing I apart, solving the issue, and make it into a bobber. But I don't really have the experience, but I think I'm ready to try any way. I also used to have a 1987 Honda VT1100C, fun bike, really comfortable just a little heavy and mine had an oil problem so it was slow. I have attached pictures of the models.image.jpgimage.jpg
You dont have to haul ass around corners. Typically if a bike is capable of such behavior without much effort, it is possible, in part, because it is nimble
There is also the often unloved and there for cheap Kawasaki ZR7
The Ninja 650/Versys is also quite an upgrade from the EX500.
If you have some cruiser-ish leanings, I understand Bonnevills are very competent and being easy to ride while being prettty comfy.
