I live in Richmond so I frequent Tates Creek Road from Lexington often.

Everything on that road is the same as it's always been until you get to the Ferry.  Once you cross the Ferry, headed back towards Richmond you will run into 4 patches of pure uneven gravel.  These patches span both lanes and are about 2 to 3 feet long.  They have started to pave some of these.  The 5th one that I got to had been black topped.  However, they black topped it to a ramp like structure.  I wasn't even going fast when I approached it and the front wheel came off the ground.

Once you get past number 5, you can get back to spirited riding.  I'll report any changes I find on that road as I ride it a few times per month.

Hey Guys!

I'm new to the forum and I pretty much just signed up to look for some new riders.  I don't have anyone to ride with but I am off work tomorrow and would like to get a ride in.  I was thinking going to the Gorge and getting something eat and riding back to Lex or the Richmond area would be good.  I could also think of riding south to the Cumberland falls area.  I know a fantastic BBQ place on the way.  I know both areas really well. I also ride with a small mounted GPS fed by Google maps just in case we wanted to check out some less traveled roads.

Anyone and everyone is welcome.  I ride sport or a cruiser.  So whatever you're riding doesn't really matter to me.  I just want to go out and relax and enjoy the day.  I'm available Friday or Saturday if people are up for it.  I'm most likely riding both days regardless. 

I'm also open for suggestions if someone has a  different ride idea in mind.  I'm in the Richmond area so I'm centrally located and would be available for just about anything.

Cal here from the Richmond area.  I've been searching for an active forum to look for people to ride with.  I've been riding for most of my life in some form or another.  I ride a ton to work.  I work in Lexington.

I ride a 2012 ZX6r and a 2011 Harley 48.  So I ride sport and I cruise a bit.  So I'm usually down for any kind of ride.  My Harley has an upgraded tank from the 2.2 to a 3.3.  So no worries about waiting on me too much for fuel ; )

Anywho!  I'm in my mid 30s and love to ride.  I'm knowledgeable about most things on these bikes like mods and fairing work.  So give me a shout.
