I don't know why but I've never liked any Spanish or French riders, especially the French riders.... It has always seemed to me that the French and Japanese riders are always complaining about other riders touching them (like little kids do). The Brits, Italians, and Aussie, excluding Stoner, on the other hand are always mixing it up and bumping. They realize that they are racing and in racing you are going to have some incidental contact. It's part of the sport.
In the past I liked MotoGP because of the raw power of the bikes compared to SKB or AMA but in the past 10 years that has slowly changed. The advances in electronic controls have made the bikes more rideable and tamer. They are still more advanced than bikes competing in SBK but with greater parity of the bikes in SBK and AMA I believe that winning is more dependent on the the riding ability of the rider instead of who has the best bike. Look at how the championships in MotoGP have gone for the past 12 years. Sure the ride has counted but it has been clear each year which bikes are the most dominate. First Honda had a string of 1,2,3 bikes then it switched over to Yamaha claiming the most wins for a few seasons. Now that pendulum has swung back to Honda.

About Me
I"m married to a wonderful woman who started ridng and got her own bike in 2010. Now we can ride together.
I work for Uncle as a Terrorist Hunter. I don't really have much time for hobbies. When I do find my self at home I usually get on my bike and take off for a week or so. I rarely plan out where I'm going. I just take the road that looks like it's the most fun.
What else do I like to do? Well, I've been known to jump out of planes, off of buildings and towers and have even jumped off a bridge or two. (my name actually was a nickname given to me because I started the NoGear Skydiving Team. Our motto was "The Ground's the Limit!" but we were only good till the first drop)
Anything else you might want to know just ask....

Stoner won on the old bike. The bike for 2010 was a completely new bike. He crashed out of the first 3 races on that bike. After two years trying to develop that bike Ducati gave up and introduced another new bike this year.
I've always thought that Ducati cares more about SBK than MotoGp because the SBK championships on actual bikes they sell is what built up their name in the first place. I used to love watching Bayliss and Fogarty. Fogarty especially was the working mans rider.
