Cherohala Skyway is much more scenic, better roads, better views, less traffic bound obstacles. In all the times I have been across its 52 mile stretch I have met only one motor home and never an 18 wheeler.

I like US 421 "The Snake" better. A lot less traffic.

Clutch have you ridden the other roads in the area, Moonshiner 28, BRP,? There's a ton of not good but great roads around there. Ride 73 east sometime.

We usually take 421 from Lexington all the way up to Indiana. I think it's a great road too.
